DEFI(DECENTRALIZED FINANCE)

 DEFI (DECENTRALIZED FINANCE):

What is DEFI (Decentralized Finance)?

The term DEFI refers to the global financial system that does not require the approval or permission of any individual to function!

Examples:

1. Trading (Buying and selling).

2. Borrowing (Taking loans).

3. Lending (Providing loans).

... and more!

Think of DEFI as all the financial services that banks provide, but instead of being controlled by banks, they are now run on blockchain technology.

Anything that operates on a public blockchain automatically becomes decentralized.

The term "Decentralized" means there is no single person with full authority to control or restrict access—everyone has the freedom to do as they wish!

The term "Finance" refers to financial activities such as the ones listed above.

When these two words are combined, they form "Decentralized Finance", commonly known as DeFi.

Now, Let's Continue

As we all know, the cryptocurrency market is divided into different categories, with each project aiming to solve a specific problem.

In the blockchain space, there are projects focused on solving financial problems by replacing centralized finance (CeFi) with decentralized finance (DeFi).

Examples of DeFi Projects:

1. Uniswap – Enables trading without the need for a middleman (intermediary).

2. Compound – Allows users to borrow and lend funds without a third party.

3. AAVE – A decentralized lending and borrowing protocol.

4. Sushiswap – A decentralized exchange similar to Uniswap.

5. Yearn Finance – A project that optimizes yield farming and lending strategies.

6. MakerDAO – A project that provides decentralized stablecoin solutions.

All of these DeFi projects solve the problems associated with centralized finance by making financial services decentralized.

A Simple Formula to Identify DeFi Projects:

Any crypto project that allows users to trade, lend, borrow, or perform other financial activities without needing an intermediary is considered a DeFi project!

I hope this explanation makes DeFi (Decentralized Finance) clear to you.
